Dr. Hengyan Liu is an Assistant Professor in the School of AI and advanced computing (AIAC) of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He holds a Doctoral and Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London. Hengyan has extensive research and project experience, having served as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London for two years and as a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University for one year, where he led the UKRI project. 

Hengyan’s research expertise spans several areas including deep learning, Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, Large Language Models.
