Dr Hao Lan is an Associate Professor of Economics at the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Finance and Econometrics from the University of York. Before joining XJTLU, he was a Research Associate at Norwich Business School and the Centre for Competition Policy, University of East Anglia.

Dr Lan’s primary research area is Scanner Data Econometrics, focusing on econometric modelling and analysis of micro-level, large-scale, high-frequency supermarket scanner data. His work has advanced understanding of food pricing and food inflation at the micro level. His secondary research area is Applied Time Series Econometrics, with interests in inflation dynamics, commodity price shocks, and renewable energy transitions.

His research has been published in leading journals, including the American Journal of Agricultural Economics (x2), Applied Economics, Energy Economics, Energy Journal, Environmental and Resource Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Agricultural Economics (x3), Journal of Cleaner Production, and Oxford Economic Papers.

In teaching, Dr Lan delivers Financial Econometrics for final-year undergraduate students and Time Series Analysis for master’s students. He also contributes to academic administration as the Library Liaison Officer for the economics department and previously served as Deputy Programme Director for the MSc Business Analytics programme (2017–2021).

蓝昊博士目前在西交利物浦大学商学院担任经济学副教授及博士生导师。他在英国诺丁汉大学获得经济学博士学位,并持有约克大学的金融与计量经济学硕士学位。回国前,蓝博士先后任职于英国东英吉利大学诺里奇商学院及竞争政策研究中心,担任助理研究员。蓝昊博士的主要研究方向为“扫描数据计量经济学”(Scanner Data Econometrics),聚焦于对近年来迅速发展起来的微观层面大规模高频超市扫描数据开展计量建模与实证分析。他的研究从微观视角深化了对食品定价与食品通胀机制的理解,并在相关领域形成了具有国际影响力的研究成果。其第二研究方向为应用时间序列计量经济学,重点关注通胀动态、商品价格冲击以及可再生能源转型等议题。他在《American Journal of Agricultural Economics》(2篇)、《Energy Economics》、《Energy Journal》、《Environmental and Resource Economics》、《Oxford Economics Papers》、《Journal of Agricultural Economics》(3篇)、《International Review of Economics and Finance》和《Applied Economics》等世界顶级和权威期刊上发表了多篇高质量的学术论文。回国后,他主持和参与了多个省部级、地市级和校级研究项目。在西浦商学院,他主要为高年级本科生教授《金融计量经济学》(时间序列和高级面板数据分析),同时还为研究生开设《时间序列分析》(高级)课程。
