Personal profile

Personal profile

Dr. Hang Liu is a passionate biomedical researcher dedicated to bridging biomaterials innovation with translational cell therapies. His research develops designer biomaterial platforms for (1) cell-based therapeutics and (2) 3D disease models for high-throughput drug screening. By integrating principles from materials science, mechanobiology, and high-precision manufacturing, his work addresses critical challenges in regenerative medicine and pharmaceutical development.

Dr. Liu’s multidisciplinary approach stems from training across science (PhD, NUS), cell biology (Postdoc, A*STAR IMCB), and clinical collaboration (Postdoc, School of Medicine, NUS). He has contributed to 21 peer-reviewed publications and secured funding as principal investigator from NUS Medicine and Merck Singapore. His lab welcomes students passionate about 3D cell culture, stem cell therapies, and bioactive molecules aimed at improving human health.
