Catherine is a highly experienced English Language teaching professional with a career spanning over three decades. She began teaching in 1992 and has taught a wide range of English courses, including General English, exam preparation (PET, FCE, CAE, IELTS, EmSAT) and English for Academic Puposes (EAP), in different countries, namely the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Turkiye and now China.
Throughout her career, Catherine has held key leadership roles such as Academic Coordinator, English Team Leader and Academic Success Centre Coordinator. Additionally she has worked on teacher training courses, the CELTA and DELTA certification courses as a course tutor. Recognised for her experience, she is a Fellow of the UK's Higher Education Academy (HEA).
Catherine has been working as Senior Language Lecturer in the English Language Centre (ELC) at XJTLU since March 2024.
