I received my PhD in Computer Science and Informatics from Cardiff University, and afterwards completed two postdoc positions at the University of Leicester and the University of Oxford respectively.

At Leicester, I worked on multiple regional and national-level clinical trials supporting or leading informatics efforts, especially during the COVID period. At Oxford, I led the informatics component of the ERC-funded CHRONO project and also contributed my natural language processing expertise to several other European- and UK-funded research projects.

Research interests

My research interests span digital health, medical informatics, and multimodal data integration, as well as social computing and social simulation systems, with a focus on creating integrative, data-driven frameworks for understanding and improving health. I am particularly interested in data standardisation, multimodal integration, and digital twin approaches, where information from wearables, patient-reported outcomes, electronic health records, imaging, and multi-omics data can be combined into dynamic and adaptive health models that support prediction, personalised intervention, and decision-making across diverse health contexts.
 
I am also strongly engaged in natural language processing (NLP) and multimodal social media analysis, exploring how online discourse, visual culture, and behavioural signals reflect public perceptions, policy responses, and cultural narratives around health and society. This line of research connects digital health technologies with broader questions of communication, acceptance, and social impact.
 
In addition, I use scientometrics and research evaluation using knowledge graphs and large-scale trend analyses to map interdisciplinary connections, identify emerging frontiers, and guide the evolution of digital health and related fields.
 
I work closely with researchers, innovators and influencers across the fields of health, social science, culture, fashion, etc.
