Bin Hao obtained his Ph.D. from Tongji University. He also has experience studying and working at the University of Oxford and the Aix-Marseille University. Prior to joining XJTLU, he was Department Head at the School of Business, East China University of Science and Technology. He is a recipient of the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program and the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Young Leading Talent. His research interests include entrepreneurial strategy and venture capital investment. He has published more than 60 papers in leading journals including Entrepreneruship Theory and Practice, Global Strategy Journal, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Small Business Management, International Small Business Journal, Technovation, R&D Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, among others. His publications have been cited over 2,000 times. He is also author (co-author) of 2 books. His work has won several awards and honors, including Best Paper at the 84th Academy of Management (AOM) Annual conference, Best Full Paper Award at the British Academy of Management (BAM) Annual conference, and Year’s Best Paper Second Prize by Shanghai Social Science Committee. His reserach has been funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education of China.He currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Data, a journal in the Nature portfolio, and is also a guest editor for a special issue of the journal.

Bin is looking for PhD students who want to work on areas including entrepreneurship, venture capital investment, and strategy. Applicants with the background of corporate finance, management, statistics, or computer science are especially welcome.
