Relevance of Research to Industry:
His research has actively deployed and developed artificial intelligence (AI) to solve critical challenges in the battery industry, particularly for electric vehicles (EVs). His research integrates machine learning (ML), deep learning, and AI-driven optimization to enhance battery performance, safety, and sustainability. He has developed AI-based thermal management systems using surrogate modeling and neural networks to optimize cooling efficiency and prevent overheating. His work on state-of-health (SoH) and state-of-charge (SoC) estimation employs advanced AI techniques, including CNN-LSTM hybrid models, transfer learning, and digital twin frameworks, enabling real-time battery diagnostics and predictive maintenance. Additionally, his team has applied AI-powered clustering and genetic algorithms to improve battery recycling processes, such as cell sorting and residual energy assessment. By combining multidisciplinary optimization with AI, his contributions provide industry-focused solutions for longer battery life, faster charging, and sustainable energy storage, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world applications.
