Abhishek Kandwal (Senior Member, IEEE USA) is presently working as an Associate Professor in the School of CHIPS at Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University and is Honorary Associate at University of Liverpool, UK. He is Listed in World Top 2% Scientist List of Stanford and Elsevier, 2025. Earlier, he received his Ph.D in Physics (Electromagnetic Waves) in 2014. He has over 15-years of research/teaching experience from some of the world top universities and research organizations such as SUTech University Shenzhen (Top-200/300 THE/QS World Ranking), SU University (Top-500 THE) and SIAT Chinese Academy of Sciences (World top research org. per Nature Index).
He has authored over 140-international research publications and filed/granted more than 10-national/international Patents. 
 
Research Focus:
(1) Emerging Electromagnetic Wave techniques that includes research on advanced compact flexible RF sensors for biomedical engineering applications (Diabetes: Glucose monitoring)
(2) Advanced leaky-wave surface-wave antennas for microwave and millimeter wave communication applications. 
 
PGRS (Post-Graduate Research Fellowship) for PhD Students worldwide (2025 onwards):
A full fee waive off PhD fellowship is available for working in RF EM Wave Sensing Project. Those with good experience in 3D simulations and EM waves, will be given priority.
