A wearable dual-band metantenna is proposed for Body-Centric Communications (BCC). The design is composed of two sub-sections: a CPW-fed antenna and a 2×2 meta-layer. The whole design is fabricated on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with conductive fibers used to form the radiating elements, achieving bandwidths of 70 MHz at 2.45 GHz and 900 MHz at 5.8 GHz. Its S-parameters and radiation patterns are characterized using a PNA inside an anechoic chamber. Bending tests are also conducted, confirming stable performance under deformation. SAR evaluations verify that the design can effectively reduce radiation absorbed by the human body for on-body scenarios.
