Tectonic Dialogues: from Suzhou to Kuala Lumpur - Part 1

Activity: Talk or presentation › Invited talk

Description

As part of the workshop From Kuala Lumpur to Suzhou: Interfaces of Experience, the Tectonic Dialogues lecture series represents the theoretical background that introduces students to geometric analysis, cultural translation, and design interpretation across Chinese and Malaysian contexts. The lectures provided a conceptual framework for reading place, patterns, and cultural systems, supporting the workshop’s transition from site experience and observation to computational exploration, fabrication, and the collaborative light installation. As first impact this contribution will support the students of UCSI University enrolled in the modules BEI2083 Interior Architecture Design and Theories/BEI2067 Interior Architecture Design 04 lead by Emmanuelle Fong Yi KHOO and Wong Leong Yee while as second aim it will constitute the guideline of the workshop session.
