Description
Meeting with Bugs" - Encountering Bugs in Bugs' Valley: Zhu Yingchun and the Art of His Bug Neighbors. This exhibition is a comprehensive presentation of artist Zhu Yingchun's "Bug Series" works. It serves as a concrete
expression of his natural lifestyle philosophy of "effortless wandering," and furthermore, constitutes a dedicated ar-
tistic celebration for the "bug neighbors" that accompany him daily.
The Bugs' Valley project is invested in by the Pukou Urban Construction Group and curated by Menpai Cultur-
al Tourism. It invites Zhu Yingchun and numerous designers to collaborate in jointly creating the nation's first nature
and art community centered around a bug theme.
This workshop acts as an extension of the "Meeting with Bugs" exhibition and simultaneously marks the
design kick-off meeting for the Bugs' Valley project. Conducted in the format of a design workshop, it will convene
a group of emerging designers. Guided by the aesthetic principles of Zhu Yingchun's bug art, participants will
engage in creative design activities related to architecture, interior design, landscaping, and structural installations.
The workshop's agenda focuses on the renovation, transformation, and creative design of a batch of significant
individual buildings and several structural installations within the Bugs' Valley project. The design outcomes gener-
ated are planned to be developed further, with construction aimed for early 2026, culminating in their opening to the
public.
