Description

ITALIAN ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL III EDITION - GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF CONTEMPORARY CREATIVITY OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE

The Festival Architettura project is guided by major international frameworks like the Faro Convention and the EU's New Bauhaus to promote sustainability, cultural heritage access, and global cooperation. Building on its successful second edition, it will continue to pursue its core objectives of quality, internationalisation, and sustainability.
The project funds initiatives on two levels:
Nationally: It supports high-quality cultural events and research within Italy, engaging local communities and institutions.
Internationally: It boosts the profile of contemporary Italian architecture abroad through networking, training, and promotion.
The main national events are scheduled for April 2025, while the international activities can run from after the selection process until October 15, 2025.

The Fondazione degli Architetti di Modena, as the lead partner, submitted the project titled “IF – Industria Festival Architettura” to the third edition of the call for proposals by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture. It was ranked 1st among the ten projects selected by the evaluation committee.
Between March 28th and April 8th, 2025, in the cities of Modena, Carpi, Castelvetro Di Modena, Fiorano Modenese, Formigine, Mirandola, Maranello, Pavullo nel Frignano, San Felice sul Panaro, Sassuolo, and Vignola; in the Emilia-Romagna cities of Forlì-Cesena, Piacenza, Rimini, and Ravenna; and between June and October 2025, in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Madrid, and Suzhou, hackathons, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, guided tours, and cultural events were organized.

The Festival Architettura has historically significant participation, averaging 15000 visitors during its one-month event.
