Description
Most students now are familiar with using GenAl tools such as Xipu Al to facilitate their language learning, but the usage is mostly centered around text-based information. When it comes to speaking tests, students may have difficulties in finding a partner to practice orally after class. The GenAl tool Doubao not only helps students with speaking practice, but also can be utilized in teaching and material preparation for teachers. This presentation focuses on introducing the main functions of Doubao by highlighting the features of: 1. simulating diverse conversation contexts such as academic discussions and speaking interviews; 2. providing instant feedback by identifying language errors; 3. being used in in-class speaking tasks for self-evaluation; 4. generating supplementary materials when designing workbooks.
