With globalization and improved living standards, people are focusing on higher-level needs and developing more complex demands regarding the value and presentation of traditional foods. Local conventional foods now represent material sustenance and serve as cultural symbols of regions, cities, and even nations. This study examines Suzhou's traditional foods, familiar to residents, exploring strategies for their preservation, protection, and branding in modern contexts. Analyzing the uniqueness of Suzhou's food culture highlights its cultural, economic, and historical significance while identifying challenges such as declining craftsmanship and low profitability.
