This project, titled "Immersive XJTLU: A Synesthesia Journey," aims to create a high-fidelity cinematic experience for the AFCT Dome Theatre as well as other immersive viewing terminals. Using the state-of-the-art BMD Ursa Cine Immersive camera, a team of student researchers will explore the cinematographic contrast of XJTLU campus, including the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and Taicang campuses. The project serves two main purposes: it provides students with hands-on experience in the emerging field of immersive 180°/360° cinematography and creates a landmark visual asset for the university. By capturing the "Global Community" of SIP and the "Entrepreneurial Hub" of Taicang, the research explores how immersive technology can foster a unified university identity. The final product will be a specialized film designed for dome / immersive projection, showcasing XJTLU’s innovative spirit to the local community and international visitors.
