Description
This workshop first explored why a move to more discipline-specific EAP instruction is desirable with reference to course content, student engagement and motivation and, finally, the dynamic between disciplinary faculty and ELC instructors. It then described in more detail the courses and support activities ELC deploy in support of students on China Studies, International Studies and Film and TV Arts undergraduate programmes, and the effort we made to make ELC provision more coherent and specific to the relevant undergraduate programmes.
