Description
As cities confront the challenges of environmental stress, urban growth, and technological disruption, architecture and urban design play a vital role in shaping sustainable and resilient built environments. Research in digital heritage, immersive environments, and AI-driven spatial design reveals how emerging instruments, such as digital twins, extended reality (XR), and blockchain, can reimagine how cities are designed, experienced, and sustained. These technologies support not only the optimisation of physical systems but also create opportunities for digital participation, enabling communities to co-author their environments. Digital legacies, understood as the cultural, spatial, and technological traces we leave for future generations, frame design as a forward-thinking practice rooted in both continuity and transformation. Through the lens of speculative design, new futures can be prototyped, ones that are adaptive, culturally grounded, and deeply human-centred. By embedding intelligent design innovation into interdisciplinary practice, design becomes a critical interface for developing inclusive, data-informed, and environmentally responsible urban futures.nternational Conference on Quality in Research (QiR) 2025 will be held on October 27–28, 2025, at Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta, with the following symposium topics:
Smart Infrastructure and Sustainable Design in Built Environments (SISDBE)
Advanced Transportation Systems, Mechanical, and Ocean Technologies (ATSMOT)
Artificial Intelligence and Automation for Smart Systems (AIASS)
Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies (AMMT)
Renewable Energy and Clean Technology Innovations (RECTI)
In Conjunction with
The 10th International Symposium on Biomedical Engineering (ISBE)
The 10th Indonesia Japan Joint Scientific Symposium (IJJSS)
QIR 2025 will invite 25 well-known professors in each of their respective fields as keynote and invited speakers, as well as representatives of various industry experts who will share their product knowledge and global technological advances, followed by parallel sessions for each conference topic. This event will be attended by 400 people daily from various backgrounds, such as academics, lecturers, researchers, students, and government and business officials. All events will be held in Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta. A poster session and exhibition will serve as a means for information exchange regarding the latest technological developments.
