Development of HPV E6/E7 mRNA Detection Kit (PCR-Fluorescent Probe Method)

Cervical cancer ranks as the fourth most common cancer in women globally and is also among the leading causes of cancer-related mortality. Research has shown a strong correlation between persistent HPV infection and the development of cervical cancer. To date, a variety of effective HPV detection methods have been developed, including cytological testing, immunological testing, molecular biological testing, sequencing, and genotyping assays. Currently, the detection of HPV E6/E7 mRNA is a significant area of interest. The goal of this project is to develop a new PCR-fluorescent probe detection method targeting HPV E6/E7 mRNA to detect HPV infection, and ultimately achieve rapid and accurate detection. The kit can detect 18 different HPV genotypes with conserved cellular gene β2-microglobulin mRNA as an internal control to assess sample quality and PCR inhibition factors. The detection sensitivity of this kit can reach <50 copies per reaction, and cutoff value of targets is 38.5. Compared to competing products, this kit covers a wide range of HPV types, offers precise and efficient detection, and requires a shorter processing time. The kit has demonstrated superior performance in the initial development phase, meeting the expectations for accurate and efficient detection of 18 different HPV types. However, extensive testing and clinical sample trials are still required in the subsequent stages. Once launched on the market, this kit will provide a highly effective and precise method for HPV detection, offering support for cervical cancer screening and related research.
