Description
This dissertation discusses how the difficulties faced by the elderly in public places such as hospitals can be reduced through design in the context of China's aging society. This dissertation starts with the self-service registration machines in hospitals. It will be redesigned to suit the habits of older people better. The design aims to improve the experience of older adults using the self-service kiosks. It will also make it easier for older adults to complete the process of visiting the doctor. The design will focus on the average senior citizen and extend to the physically disabled senior citizen population. Besides, the dissertation will demonstrate the entire design process, from researching the background to identifying the problem to using design methods to solve the problem. Through continuous testing and collection of user data, the design will be improved. Finally, after a large number of improvements, the design will be finished.
