Artificial intelligence and digital technologies are transforming how culture is created, experienced and shared. Yet cultural-technological integration is not simply about applying new technologies to cultural content. It creates an opportunity for cultural knowledge, human creativity and technological intelligence to actively shape one another. This keynote introduces Cultural Intelligence as a framework for this emerging relationship. Drawing on research and practice in design, digital environments, AI and cultural transformation, it explores how human-AI collaboration can enable new forms of creative practice and cultural innovation while maintaining human agency, cultural specificity and meaning. Rather than asking only how technology can revitalise culture, it asks how culture itself can shape the intelligent technologies with which we design our future.
