Description
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed games from mere entertainment tools into vibrant platforms for cultural expression. In the past, game design relied on fixed scripts and scenes. Now, with AI and game engines—tools commonly used for developing video games or simulating autonomous driving—we can create a game’s digital twin. This digital twin is like a lively 3D virtual world where characters, environments, and even lighting effects act as “intelligent agents,” dynamically adapting to players’ behaviors. With AI’s support, developers can observe and optimize the game world in real-time, delivering more immersive and engaging stories and interactions, unbound by pre-set narratives.
In this lecture, we will explore how AI bridges culture and creators through gaming mediums, such as constructing contemporary cultural scenes in virtual settings, generating personalized cultural content, or creating novel cultural experiences with interdisciplinary tools. Together, we will consider how to harness these intelligent technologies to break traditional boundaries, making games a bridge connecting culture, creativity, and the future.
