Description

Amid the escalating challenges of global climate change and environmental crises, advancing green transition and achieving sustainable development have become pressing priorities for humanity. As pivotal actors in the Global South, China and Brazil bear particular responsibility in addressing these issues, and their collaboration carries both practical and symbolic significance. It also contributes to fostering a more balanced and diversified global academic dialogue.
Against this backdrop, the Department of International Relations at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), in collaboration with the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), is pleased to announce the SIEAmb – International Seminar on Environmental Studies, to be held on 22–24 October 2025. The seminar will feature keynote lectures by distinguished scholars from both China and Brazil and will provide a valuable platform for young scholars and researchers to engage in academic exchange.
