The Jiangsu Provincial Society of Civil Engineering and Architecture (江苏省土木建筑学会) is an academic organisation with a history of more than 70 years. The current eleventh council, with 195 members, has 63 permanent council members, and Chinese Academy of Engineering member Miao Changwen is the eleventh council's president. The society currently has over 500 unit members and 6,000 individual members. It has 26 specialised committees and 7 working committees and covers a wide range of fields and specialties, including architecture, transportation, structures, construction, water supply and drainage, and landscape design. It is an interdisciplinary and cross-departmental academic organisation with close ties with urban planning, construction, transportation, etc.
