"Psychohousing- The impact of telecommuting and non-face-to-face education in times of pandemic"

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected our lifestyle by forcing housing spaces for telecommuting and non-face-to-face learning. Given this, housing can have an impact on people's environmental psychology. This research aims to analyze environmental psychology in private housing adapted by Covid 19. The sampling method was snowball-type online, with 196 people living in Metropolitan Lima and Callao, responding on the sociodemographic variable. Thepsychological variable was analyzed using the Peruvian Psychologicalto Environmental Impact Scale "KA" (EIPA-K), and the housing variable through the Inventory of Adapted Housing Conditions (ICO-VA). The relationship of the variables was analyzed using linear regression models. People who telecommute and receive telecommuting simultaneously are 60% affected in their environmental psychology. Women, those aged 30-44, and those residing in dwellings of 91 m2 - 100 m2, have a greater impact on their environmental psychology in their adapted homes. In conclusion, housing is not being well adapted, affecting more a certain group of individuals, so it is recommended to delimit spaces appropriately and take into account adaptive design criteria.
