Research on tactile sensors based on low-dimensional composite material-based bilayer capacitance.

Activity: SupervisionCompleted SURF Project

Description

The sensors show a wide range of applications, such as intelligent robots and medical diagnosis, where the tactile sensors recognize the characteristics of objects and perceive environmental information, such as the surface features of objects. The tactile sensors function as a significant medium between the external environment and sensor carriers. With the intensive application of the sensors, there has been extreme growth in the requirements for sensor qualities such as compatibility, accuracy, sensitivity, and efficiency. The research focuses on low-dimensional complex materials to enhance the flexibility of the tactile sensors, which are targeted at being applied to the electronic skin or other flexible electrical devices. In addition, highly-effective signal collection, processing, and transmission approaches are investigated based on the sensors working principle.
