Research on Optimization of Public Spaces of the Old Campus of a Chinese University under the PSPL Method

In recent years, with the change of the college education mindset, the public space of the old campus no longer meets the needs of students and even seriously affects the vitality of the campus. Focusing on the Nan'an campus of Chongqing Jiaotong University, the research will first propose the campus public space research method based on PSPL Method and Investigate the public space and students' behavior activities in the central square of the Nan'an campus of Chongqing Jiaotong University, summarize the rules of students' daily behavior, and analyze the relationship between space quality and behavior activities. Based on that, the thesis proposes optimization strategies to improve the vitality of campus public space.
