As more and more students become interested in cyber security, hands-on practice is increasingly desirable to make students digesting the delivered knowledge and improving the operational skills by doing concrete exercise. This SURF project focuses on the hands-on attack and defense skills and practice based on various honeypot techniques. The project will lead the students to deploy traps on the real network in order to capture the wild attacks from the internet. The prospective outcomes include the real attack data caught by the honeypots, the attacking data analysis, the real attack skills, the security defense approaches, etc.
