Description

Scarcity of resources, rise of energy costs, inequalities generated by land exploitation, call designers to addressing materials for their projects with a new mindset that sees waste of today as resources of tomorrow. Materials though, not only forge us and make the world we inhabit, but also carry inherent symbolic and emotonal expressions. How materials culture evolution will impact on the users' perception, and their bond to space and place?
The invited speakers will share their professional achievements and will discuss on the evoluton of materials' culture across the 20th and 21st centuries
