Activity: SupervisionMaster Dissertation Supervision

Description

Against the background of climate deterioration and energy shortness, ecological design and sustainable development have become one of the critical issues in architecture research. The bionic design absorbs inspiration from and aims at the coordinated development with nature. The technical and theoretical research shows an excellent prospect for bionic design in the field of architecture.  This thesis first reviews the development process and research results of bionic design thinking in the field of architecture, points out its advantages in improving the environmental adaptability of buildings. At the same time, it demonstrates how it has a good fit with the current development direction of urban construction and the social environment in China. On this basis, this thesis studies and evaluates the bionic thinking in the existing architecture through case analysis, and summarises an architectural design framework based on bionic theory. The framework aims to achieve the harmonious development of human settlements and natural environment, optimise the current architectural design workflow from the perspective of improving environmental adaptability and energy saving, and provide preliminary research for the new direction initiated by the combination of bionics and architectural design.
