"In Search of an Authentic Boutique Hotel for Suzhou: Speculation on Intellect of the Typology" was concieved as an East-meets-West discussion with scholars, students, and practicing architects from Drury University and XJTLU. I presented the Boutique Hotel History and traced the migration and simultaneous adaptation of the typology in China. The symposium included a presentation from students and faculty and guest Dr. Qi Shanshan (Studio Qi).
