The workshop engages participants in a thorough reflection over their future as practitioners and as members of their community. The goal is to help them explore their potential as change makers and future thinkers, and forecast the impact of their professional work in the creation of a more equal, democratic, fair and inclusive society. The activity runs over three sessions. In the first students are asked to describe their current views on their professional careers. A set of sticky notes is used to map their imagined career roadmaps. In the second, the moderator introduces a new set of impact-driven approaches to tackle emerging global challenges, and present case studies to illustrate how they can be addressed in design professions. In the third part, students are invited to create a new roadmap, being facilitated by task specific tool. The session culminates with an open discussion where original and re-defined professional roadmaps are compared and commented
