Tourism is one of the economic sectors that has altered the most dramatically since large-scale multidimensional data sets, or so-called big data (BD), became available. The study on big data and tourism in collaboration with the hospitality industry has increased significantly, making manual interpretation and synthesizing impossible. By systematically reviewing the current research, this project aims to examine the significant progress of BD and Analytics in the tourist and hospitality industries to date and forecast how it may evolve in the future.
