Adapting a Chinese Ideological and Political Curriculum for an International High School in Suzhou.

Activity: SupervisionCompleted SURF Project

Description

As China’s middle class grows, there has been a strong desire for international education; in 2020, more than 900 international schoolswere registered with China’s education bureau. The government is keen to ensure that Chinese students receiving international education also receive ideological and political education, as understood within the Chinese system. A local international curriculum high school tasked us with helping them to adapt the curriculum provided to them by the Municipal Department of Education to better fit their school’s values. We have created 30 lesson plans and associated learning materials on the topics of politics, culture, economy and morals, which will be delivered in school this year.
