The rise of digital and AI technologies in industries are changing not just technology, but also the way we think about job training and talent development. We need to rethink vocational education's role and how it can better align with these new technologies. It's also important to foster students and adult learners who are skilled in both working with AI-enhanced machines and self-directed life-long and life-wide learning.Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU) is hosting the first New Professional Education (TVET) Innovation Annual Conference and the New Professional Education Cooperation (NPEC) Convention on June 20-21, 2024. The event will focus on exploring innovative approaches for vocational education in the context of digital and intelligent transformation.
The goal is to figure out how vocational education can effectively support new work forces. The conference's theme is about building an education ecosystem and co-creating value under industrial digital transformation.
产业数字化和智能化转型不仅是技术层面的革新，也是对传统职业教育观念和人
才培养模式的挑战。因此，我们需要重新审视职业教育的定位与功能，明晰其与新质
生产力发展紧密结合的有效路径，培养兼具人机协同专业技能和自主学习能力的新职
业教育人才。与此同时，在教育实践层面，我们需要基于新职业教育理念，以学生的
学习和成长为中心，探索产教深度融合的课程方式，创新数智技术赋能的教学方法。
生态建构与价值共创是新职业教育探索的两大核心领域，也是职业教育高质量发
展的重要载体。生态建构关注职业教育如何与产业、社会、文化等多方面融合共生，
从而形成一个良性互动的新职业教育生态系统。价值共创强调在职业教育实施过程
中，如何使学校、企业、行业和政府等多个利益相关方积极参与，协同育人，以实现
人才培养与产业发展的双赢。
为深入探讨产业数智化转型背景下新职业教育的创新路径，为职业教育如何有效
促进和支持新质生产力发展提供解决方案，本次年会将邀请业内专家、学者、行业企
业代表等相聚苏州，围绕职业教育的生态建构与价值共创，分享理论成果和实践经
验。
